Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s wife is breaking her silence two months after his tragic death.

In an Instagram tribute shared on Sept. 12, Tenisha Warner — who married “The Cosby Show” actor in 2017, according to CNN — opened up about how she plans to honor his legacy.

The tribute was posted one day before what would’ve been the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary.

“Thank you for holding us in so much love during this tender time,” Tenisha Warner wrote alongside a photo from their wedding day. “Tomorrow marks our anniversary — and my heart is wide open.”

“For the first time, I’m sharing a glimpse of the love that began it all,” she added.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who also appeared on “The Resident,” died on July 20 after being swept away by a current while vacationing with his family in Costa Rica, according to ABC News.

His official cause of death was described as “asphyxiation by submersion,” per the outlet. He was 54.

“I can still hear my husband’s laugh, still feel the way he made room for every part of me — every tear, every dream,” his wife wrote on Instagram.

She went on to announce that she — along with the couple’s 8-year-old daughter, whose name wasn’t revealed — will honor her husband by launching a company called River & Ember.

Warner also announced the launch of The Warner Family Foundation.

“Together we carry the legacy my husband and I began — one that nurtures children’s inner light and gives young artists the freedom to create outside the lines,” she continued in the post.

“This is love, Still moving. Still making. Still carrying us forward,” she concluded.

Warner’s wife explains the meaning behind River & Ember

Warner’s post was shared on three Instagram accounts — including her husband’s official page.

His biography on the page now reads: “‘I once was sad because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.’ Profile managed with love by his wife, Tenisha Warner.”

The second slide of her post included a letter written by the actor’s widow — which was also posted on the official website of The Warner Family Foundation.

In the letter, she explained the meaning behind River & Ember and how it honors Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

“River & Ember began with two simple forces: the steady flow that carries us forward, and the quiet warmth that keeps us alive inside. My husband, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, embodied both,” she wrote.

“His presence was a river — steady, sure, and always moving toward what matters. His spirit was an ember — glowing with encouragement, igniting possibility in those around him,” she added.

Warner added that her husband’s “way of seeing the world” is the “heartbeat of everything” River & Ember stands for.

“To the river that carried us. To the ember that never goes out,” she continued.

“Your love was the first story I ever wanted to keep telling,” she concluded.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner and his wife chose to keep their family — and daughter — out of the spotlight.

He did, however, reveal that he met his future wife when he was 45 and that they’ve been together for nearly 10 years during a May appearance on the “Hot & Bothered” podcast.

In 2019, he revealed the reasoning behind keeping his daughter’s identity private.

“Thank you for sharing in my joy as a father even though I don’t post her face. She has the rest of her life for that life. Right now I just want her to BE,” he wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

“But it doesn’t stop me from BEing a proud papa!” he added.
