Woman finds lottery ticket while reaching between car seats. It was a big winner
As she reached between her car seats, a Missouri woman found a piece of paper forgotten for a month.
The St. Louis County woman noticed it was a Show Me Cash lottery ticket, one that had been nestled between the seats since the Aug. 20 drawing, Missouri Lottery officials said.
When she took it to a store to check if it was a winner, she learned she had scored the jackpot.
“The clerk tells me I won $111,000!” she told lottery officials. “I told him to stop playing!”
The clerk wasn’t playing. By matching all five numbers — 2, 7, 15, 31 and 36 — during the Aug. 20 drawing, she won the $111,000 prize.
Odds of winning the jackpot prize in Show Me Cash are 1 in 575,757.
“That was a shock. I hardly ever play, except around the holidays,” she said. “But I just decided that I would that day.”
Show Me Cash is a daily game that costs $1 to play. The jackpot, which sits at $61,000 as of Sept. 23, grows daily until there is a winner.
