A pup in Iowa has come full circle after going from the arms of a loving human back to the shelter where they first met.

Gypsy, a lovable girl around 9 years old, was adopted from Kings Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter in Davenport when she was younger, the shelter said in an Oct. 15 Facebook post.

But unfortunately for Gypsy, she once again had to walk through the shelter doors after going through a difficult time.

“Sweet Gypsy was adopted from Kings Harvest Pet Rescue years ago and was recently brought back due to her original owner passing away and then being homeless on the streets with different people she had been passed around to,” the shelter said.

The shelter posted a video of the gentle dog shaking hands with someone from the staff and scarfing down a treat.

Photos of Gypsy wearing a hat were posted by the shelter in the comment section .

Davenport is about a 170-mile drive east from Des Moines.
