Donald Trump to visit Asheville, speak about the economy, campaign says. How to attend.

Former President Donald Trump will speak about the economy during a campaign stop in Asheville on Wednesday, his campaign said late Friday.

Trump will focus on economic hardships he blames on the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the Nov. 5 presidential election.

“Hard-working Americans are suffering because of the Harris-Biden Administration’s dangerously liberal policies,” the Trump campaign said in a statement. “Prices are excruciatingly high, and the cost of living has soared, leaving those on a fixed income unsure of how they are going to afford a basic standard of living in the future.”

The Biden-Harris administration has countered those claims, saying nearly 11 million jobs have been created since Biden took office, including 750,000 manufacturing jobs. The unemployment rate is at a 50-year low, and a record number of small businesses have started up, the administration says.

Trump’s appearance is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, 87 Haywood St. Doors open at 1 p.m.
