Former North Carolina Gov. Jim Martin will join John Hood on Wednesday night in Charlotte to discuss Hood’s new biography.
“Catalyst: Jim Martin and the Rise of North Carolina Republicans,” chronicles the life and career of the governor, who also represented the Charlotte area in Congress and served as a Mecklenburg County commissioner.
Hood is a Charlotte native and president of the Raleigh-based Pope Foundation. He’s former president and chairman of the John Locke Foundation.
He and Martin will discuss the book from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Levine Museum of the New South Museum, 200 E. 7th St.
The program is free and open to the public.
