Trump set to speak March 9 at Fayetteville rally
With the North Carolina presidential primary set for March 15, Republican front-runner Donald Trump will be in Fayetteville on Wednesday, March 9, to speak at a campaign rally.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Crown Center Coliseum, 1960 Coliseum Drive.
Doors will open at 4 p.m. Register for free tickets at TrumpFayetteville.Eventbrite.com.
A Elon University Poll released late last month found that the New York-based real estate tycoon and reality TV star led the Republican field in North Carolina. The results: Trump, 28 percent; Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, 19 percent; Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, 16 percent; and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 7 percent.
Two other GOP candidates who have since dropped out – retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush – also had some support, according to the poll.
