Democrat Hillary Clinton plans to come to Charlotte Monday night on the eve of crucial primaries in North Carolina and four other states.

Clinton is scheduled to appear at Grady Cole Center at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

People interested in attending are asked to RSVP here.

Clinton, who spoke in Durham on Wednesday, continues to hold a wide lead over rival Bernie Sanders, according to polls.

Her appearance will come almost eight years to the day after then-candidate Barack Obama drew a boisterous crowd of 2,500 to the venue near Central Piedmont Community College. At the time, Obama was campaigning against Clinton.

Along with North Carolina, the states of Florida, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri also vote Tuesday.

Clinton is scheduled to appear at a Chicago union hall Monday morning.
