YWCA hosts forum on voting rights
Voting rights and voter engagement will be the subject of an April 28 forum at YWCA Central Carolinas.
A panel will discuss the impact of North Carolina’s voter ID law, fallout from House Bill 2 and reasons for low voter turnout among millennials.
This program is free and open to the public. It starts at 6 p.m. at the YWCA Central Carolinas, 3420 Park Road. A complimentary dinner will be served.
Panelists are former N.C. Sen. Malcolm Graham, the Rev. Jay Leach of the Unitarian Universalist Church, attorney Elizabeth Goodwin, and Jenn Frye of Democracy North Carolina. YWCA CEO Kirsten Sikkelee will moderate. RSVP at http://bit.ly/1UNkev5.
