What more can county government do to help CMS close achievement gaps and support students in impoverished families?

I believe in a holistic approach. I will be looking for solutions that improve CMS as a whole. The best solution is for each child to go to a high performing school.

How do you plan to collaborate with other local and state elected officials?

The county has limited resources. Therefore working with city council and state elected officials will be required in order to get the best possible solutions for the needs of the county.

How do you plan to approach the county’s upcoming revaluation and how will the results inform your stance on the 2024 fiscal year’s tax rate?

Inflation is single largest threat to individual county residents. Individual spending power continues to diminish. A dollar does not go as far as it used to. Now is the time to lower the property tax rate.

Name a quality about yourself that makes you a good leader:

Optimism- I believe we can find solutions that benefit the county as a whole.

What one professional or political accomplishment are you most proud of?

Service in our military.
