Should the county government consider implementing reparations for Black residents or Black-owned businesses?

No amount of reparations will change history. If the county considers reparations, I will prefer to consider community-based solutions as opposed to individual reparations.

The county recently approved its first round of federal pandemic relief funding. How should it prioritize funding during the second round?

I would place a higher priority on the workforce and economic development category

Is there an area where you disagree with your party? Why?

It is my understanding some Republicans allegedly support the January 6 th riot in Washington. If that is true I strongly oppose that support. As a former soldier and defender of our republic I strongly oppose change in government through violence.

What separates you from your primary opponents?

I believe my opponent is focused on our county schools. My primary focus is a property tax rate cut. Home values have been rapidly rising and with that the amount of property taxes. The quick rise in values creates a projected county budget surplus. This is the right time to cut the tax rate.

What one professional or political accomplishment are you most proud of?

Service in our military.
