What is your plan for limiting the effects of inflation?
Reduce state taxes on gasoline in North Carolina for at least 6 months. Provide incentives to the corporations that produce food to encourage them to higher more workers at livable wages.
What is the federal government’s role in controlling or ending the COVID-19 pandemic?
Continue to provide booster shots for free to all as well as educating the public on the importance of staying on guard so we can return to a near normal life again.
What is the federal government’s role in combating the effects of climate change?
To educate the public that climate change is real and provide concrete ways of how the public and our elected officials can contribute to stabilizing our climate for the next generation.
What is your plan for reducing violent crime?
We absolutely need to increase funding for our Police and Sherrif departments so that we can offer wages that encourage some of our brightest to become a part of the solution rather than the problem. Use money to educate our communities on how to work closely with the Police and Sherrif departments to better understand, community to community, how to address specific issues associated with violent crime. Hire more minorities in these positions and place them in their own communities.
What should happen if Roe v. Wade is overturned?
A new lawsuit should be filed challenging the right for men to have sex with a woman after they have previously had sex under any circumstances and he has to pay her for the next 18 years for having sex with her that one time. It sounds absurd but that is what the overturning of Roe amounts to for a woman. A woman’s right to her body must be protected.
Do you trust the integrity of the election process and what, if any, changes would you make to ensure election integrity?
I used to believe that all votes would be counted but the 2020 election has shown that may not be the case anymore. I would fight in Congress to make sure that we passed a law as close as possible to the John Lewis law to make sure states were not able to override the will of the people. A Voteless People is a Hopeless People!!!
