Highly involved in the city through local communities, engaging in CMPD citizen trainings, and through my business working with normal day people every day.

What does the future of policing in Charlotte look like if CMPD can’t recruit enough officers to keep up with the city’s population growth?

Reform of police academy is required. Recruiting from the high school level to give them opportunity for jobs while also fulfilling the requirements needed to keep the city safe. Destigmatization of police forces and increased pay will be part of the reform as well.

How will you plan to consult grassroots organizations when determining the use of public funding to address racial disparities in Charlotte?

I will work hand and hand with grassroots to hear their ideas and implement those that are fundamentally best for the Charlotte people. All should have a voice including those organizations working against racial disparity.

Currently, developers are required to build a certain number of parking spots when they put up a new building. Raleigh just got rid of its parking minimums, responding to a growing sentiment that it’s better for the environment, helps housing costs and encourages other forms of transportation. Should Charlotte follow Raleigh and get rid of minimums?

Is there an area where you disagree with your party? Why?

Yes, I don’t agree with Republican stance on immigration. Legal immigration should be made easier for those looking to create a better life. Skilled jobs are lacking employees and we can create job opportunities while helping those in need by allowing immigrants equal opportunity and easier path in.

What separates you from your primary opponents?

I am a ordinary citizen with no political objective unlike other opponents who have a hand and stake in personal gains or corrupt activities. I am a voice for the normal every day citizen and an immigrant living the American dream thanks to hard work and dedication.

As an owner and operator of a small business for more than 40 years, my leadership style is that of quick decision making, listening to others, and taking responsibility for that which is obliged of me
