The future of Eastland Yards still hangs in the balance, with two options on the table — an indoor sports complex and one that would include a soccer academy, esports hub and amphitheater. Which do you support, and why?

I am not committed to either of these proposals. I am, however, committed to a prosperous future for Eastland Yards. Our staff is still vetting both proposals to ensure financial stability and long-term viability that Eastside residents deserve.

What’s the minimum and the maximum commitment Charlotte should give to the Carolina Panthers for stadium renovations?

I think it would be a disservice to our taxpayers to throw a number out there without proper due diligence or understanding the community’s needs.

Is there an area where you disagree with your party on local or state issues? Why?

Yes, I disagree with certain members of our party regarding de-funding our police.

What separates you from your opponent(s)?

Experience, integrity and commitment.

What one professional or political accomplishment are you most proud of?

As Chair of the Budget, Governance, & Intergovernmental Relations Committee, I am especially proud that we have made increased investments to address the community’s needs and raised salaries for city employees for 5 straight years without raising taxes.
