Please list your highlights of civic involvement

I work with environmental groups and auxiliary boards including serving currently as a commissioner on the Charlotte Tree Advisory Board. My involvement includes educating my family, friends and neighbors on the importance of civic involvement and voting.

The future of Eastland Yards still hangs in the balance, with two options on the table — an indoor sports complex and one that would include a soccer academy, esports hub and amphitheater. Which do you support, and why?

I strongly lean toward an indoor sports complex with a soccer sports academy which should also include after school programs in both sports and academics. This complex needs to be a destination point for the entire region.

What’s the minimum and the maximum commitment Charlotte should give to the Carolina Panthers for stadium renovations?

The importance of Bank of America Stadium to the Panthers, additional sporting events and to our local economy cannot be understated. Going forward and to be fair to all our Charlotte taxpayers we cannot simply write a “blank check” for renovations. We must encourage, create and negotiate a public-private partnership to oversee stadium upgrades.

Is there an area where you disagree with your party on local or state issues? Why?

I believe we must fully fund comprehensive community policing and de-escalation teams.

What separates you from your opponent(s)?

My opponents are all good, community service inspired individuals, but my strength is my experience with children and families and understanding their daily needs.

What civic accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud of highlighting the loss of our tree canopies and wildlife habitats to the Charlotte Tree Advisory Committee. Deforestation and the impacts of it on our local wildlife , health and environment is an issue currently not being considered when our leaders are making development decisions.
