The future of Eastland Yards still hangs in the balance, with two options on the table — an indoor sports complex and one that would include a soccer academy, esports hub and amphitheater. Which do you support, and why?

I support the indoor sports complex because the other option could possibly present issues with parking and noise pollution for the senior community being built next door.

What’s the minimum and the maximum commitment Charlotte should give to the Carolina Panthers for stadium renovations?

This is an issue the City Council and the community at large would need to discuss with more data analysis to make an informed decision.

Is there an area where you disagree with your party on local or state issues? Why?

My only concern with my party is that they should be more cautious in selecting candidates who reflect, identify with and know the constituents they serve.

What separates you from your opponent(s)?

I have been an active member of my community for over 30 years as a licensed general contractor building projects in the area and serving for 23 years through restaurant ownership, supporting senior citizens and youth through food programs and housing.

What one professional or political accomplishment are you most proud of?

Being selected in 2021 as the CIC International Entrepreneur of the Year was a testament of my 30 years of hard work and service to my community in the Charlotte area, my faith in God and support from my family. I came to Charlotte as a worker in a program to help build the Panthers’ Stadium and eventually started my own business. I want to encourage others to strive for economic prosperity and help create an environment that is conducive to success in small business ownership.
