How should Matthews handle residential, commercial and industrial development? Should the town change any ordinances or rules to alter how development occurs? If so, what?

Every development should be approved after a comprehensive infrastructure impact and or improvement to maintain the high standard of living the current Matthews residents have so the town grows but with planning as paramount to foster sustainable ecosystems.

What’s the best feature of the town of Matthews and what’s the most important thing it needs to improve?

The best feature of the town of Matthews is the walkable downtown area.

The most important thing it needs to improve is the process of approval of a development from the Planning Board to the final vote.

An internal investigation found that Matthews Police misrepresented how successful they were at clearing crimes. What can you do, if anything, as a member of the town board to ensure police are accurately reporting internally and to the public what crime looks like in Matthews?

In order to ensure police are accurately reporting internally and to the public what crime looks like in the town of Matthews, it is necessary to have permanent audit from members of the community that will approve or not the result of any violation where the Police is involved.

What sets you apart from other candidates on the ballot and makes you the best choice?

I am the first Hispanic candidate with a Ukrainian background that if elected will represent all our great people that chose the Town of Matthews as home by fostering transparency, efficiency and austerity in regards of how town funds are being used prioritizing projects in stead of just keep raising taxes.
