What are the most important issues facing Kannapolis today, and how would you address them? Kannapolis is experiencing rapid growth, bringing both exciting opportunities and real challenges. We need thoughtful, inclusive planning, a strong business environment, and diverse economic development. I’ll support our school system, advocate for city staff, and build partnerships to shape policy, secure funding, and keep Kannapolis thriving for everyone who calls it home.
Development, particularly downtown, has changed Kannapolis significantly over the previous several years. What’s your opinion on how growth and development is changing what things feel like living in Kannapolis? And what’s your vision of what Kannapolis should look and feel like in the next few years? Growth has changed Kannapolis—bringing energy, opportunity, and some challenges. My vision is a city that grows with intention: a vibrant downtown, strong neighborhoods, support for local businesses, and a community where longtime residents and new families feel equally at home. Growth is here—now we shape it to reflect our values.
How would you support improving parks, recreation and community spaces in Kannapolis?
Parks and public spaces are vital for a healthy, connected city. I’ll advocate for investment in well-maintained, inclusive parks, expanded rec programs for all ages, and green space in new development. I’ll support partnerships that enhance access and ensure every neighborhood benefits from shared community spaces.
Why should voters choose you over others who are in the race?
I’ve lived, worked, and raised my family here. I bring years of civic and nonprofit leadership, trusted partnerships, and a heart for service. I show up, I listen, and I get things done. I’m committed to leading with integrity, building trust, and moving Kannapolis forward—together.
