What are your top priorities to manage the rapid growth Indian Trail is experiencing?:
My top priorities for managing Indian Trail’s rapid growth are centered on preserving our community’s character while ensuring responsible, sustainable development. That means investing in infrastructure that keeps pace with population growth, prioritizing road improvements and traffic management, supporting balanced housing that includes affordable options for working families, and protecting natural areas that make Indian Trail special.
Earlier this year, social media controversies – specifically linked to the Indian Trail Weasel Report Facebook page – contributed to a divide amongst town council members. How do you plan to work collaboratively with other council members and ensure a transparent government process for residents?:
I’ll bring professionalism, respect, and a focus on solutions, not drama. Personal conflicts have no place in local government. I’ll work with all council members, even when we disagree, to put residents first. I also support more transparency, including better communication and public input, so everyone can stay informed and engaged in our town’s direction.
Traffic congestion – especially along US-74 – has become a growing problem. How do you plan to address this?:
US-74 congestion is a daily frustration, and we can’t afford to ignore it. I’ll work to push for expanded alternate routes, smarter traffic signal timing, and stronger coordination with NCDOT. We also need to plan future development with traffic impact in mind, not after the fact. Infrastructure should lead growth, not follow it.
What do you believe in the most pressing issue facing Indian Trail in the next 5 years?:
The most pressing issue is managing growth and rapid expansion. Without proper planning, we’ll face overwhelmed roads, strained services, and lost green space. I believe in smart, balanced development that protects quality of life, expands infrastructure, and keeps housing attainable, all while preserving what makes Indian Trail a great place to live.
What sets you apart from other candidates?
I’m not running just to become yet another politician, I’m running as a resident who’s grounded, accountable, and focused on problems and solutions. I bring fresh energy, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to listening to residents first, not special interests. I’ll lead with transparency, push for smart solutions, and never forget who I work for: the people of Indian Trail.
