Two North Carolina high school students have been disciplined by their school after a video of a racist rant was posted online.

The students are from Northwest Guilford High School near Greensboro, North Carolina. The video appears to have been posted on Facebook and recorded with a phone before being shared on Twitter.

The Twitter user who shared it tagged the school and the school system on the video, asking, “y’all gonna let this happen?”

The video is available through this link, but be warned that it contains extreme racist, profane and offensive language.

The language in the video is overtly racist and profane, including references to lynching and repeated use of the n-word.

In response to the video, the school system posted on Twitter: “Guilford County Schools does not tolerate racist behavior. Appropriate action has been taken to discipline the students involved. We’re working to reinforce our district’s core values, which include diversity and equity, as well as empathy and integrity.”

“It was very hateful speech,” Guilford County School’s Tony Watlington told WFMY.

“We’re working closely with our diversity office and National Conference for Community and Justice to provide training for both staff and students so we can make sure all of our campus is a place people can feel comfortable and inclusive and that are harassment- and discrimination-free,” Watlington told the television station.
