Looking for a job? This North Carolina city is ranked among worst places to find work
If you’re looking for work in one North Carolina city, you may need some luck, a new study says.
That’s because Fayetteville was named among the worst places in the country for job searchers, the personal finance website WalletHub says.
Fayetteville’s job market earns it a spot of 181 on a list of 182 cities, according to study results published Friday.
How did other places in the Tar Heel state fare?
Raleigh is the best North Carolina city for jobs, ranking No. 48 on the nationwide list, findings show.
Then comes Durham at No. 62, Charlotte at No. 104, Greensboro at No. 117 and Winston-Salem at No. 141, according to WalletHub.
To determine the United States’ top places for finding jobs, the study examined socioeconomic factors, including median income, housing costs and public transportation, according to WalletHub. It also measured job security, worker satisfaction and other related topics.
Overall, WalletHub says the top spot for finding work is the Phoenix-area city of Scottsdale, Arizona. But the worst place for job seekers is Detroit, Michigan, according to the study.
