Police find car of missing Charlotte woman who vanished on road trip
A 39-year-old Charlotte woman last seen driving from a home on July 16 has been reported missing, police said Tuesday.
Allisha Dene Watts’s black 2023 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 was found July 18 in Anson County, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Her family is concerned because they haven’t heard from her, police said.
Watts was possibly heading toward Moore County, which is between Asheboro and Fayetteville, when she disappeared, police said.
She was last seen leaving a house in the College Downs area of Charlotte, in a neighborhood off Old Concord Road, CMPD officials say.
“Detectives are following all leads and using all available resources to locate Ms. Watts,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said on Twitter Wednesday.
Anyone who knows of Watts’ whereabouts should call 911 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tips line at 704-334-1600, police urged.
