Cat found ‘on the verge of death’ is a ‘fighter’ who needs a home. Meet Kit Kat
A stray cat found “on the verge of death” is now a “spunky little spitfire” who needs a home.
“I am a fighter who loves to play and needs a lot of love,” a North Carolina animal rescue wrote in an online adoption profile for Kit Kat. “Come today and meet me and I promise that just as I fought to live I will also fight to win your love and trust.”
The Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) of Winston-Salem didn’t say how long Kit Kat has been waiting for a home. But she was brought to safety after being found last year in rough shape, the organization wrote June 25 on Facebook.
“I was found at Lowes Hardware in terrible condition,” the rescue wrote. “I was thin and very sick. Many thought that I would not make it.”
Kit Kat was brought to AARF, where she got weaker at first. Then all of AARF’s workers raced to help her get the veterinary care she needed. She “miraculously survived” and recovered.
“This energetic, spunky little spitfire loves to play and also cuddle,” the rescue wrote in a past social media post. “She LOVES attention and affection!”
The 1-year-old cat has been living in a foster home but is ready for a second chance. As of June 28, her online adoption profile remained active, and AARF said her adopters must live “within 45 minutes” of its Winston-Salem facility.
AARF didn’t immediately share additional information with McClatchy News on June 28. More details about the animal organization’s adoption process can be found at aarfws.org.
