A lottery player is set to get richer after scoring a massive jackpot prize in North Carolina.

The player bought a Carolina Cash 5 ticket that matched all the numbers picked in the July 14 drawing, making it worth $439,226, results show.

The winning numbers: 14-21-31-33-39.

The player hit the jackpot in Greenville, a roughly 85-mile drive east from Raleigh. Their lucky ticket was sold at a Speedway gas station, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on its website and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Cash 5 is a rolling jackpot game that offers tickets starting at $1. To score a jackpot win, a ticket must match all five numbers picked in a drawing, rules show.

Lottery officials told McClatchy News about the Greenville win via email early July 15, before the lucky ticket holder would have been able to claim their prize. In North Carolina, the winners of drawing games have about six months to cash in.
