A North Carolina woman won a top lottery prize and marked her second big win of the summer, officials said.

Jennifer Kleinendorst, of Willow Spring, won a $2 million top prize from a 100X The Cash scratch-off, the North Carolina Education Lottery said in an Aug. 5 news release.

In June, Kleinendorst also won a grand prize worth $250,000 in the 2025 Multiply The Cash Second Chance draw game, according to lottery officials.

She bought her second top prize-winning ticket for $20 at a convenience store in Fuquay-Varina, about a 166-mile drive northeast from Charlotte, lottery officials said.

The odds of winning the top prize in 100X The Cash — which began in January — are 1 in 1,540,530, according to the game’s web page.

There are two out of four top prizes left to be claimed, according to the lottery.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
