More than 10,000 Duke Energy customers remain without power as of 6 p.m. after a line of strong thunderstorms moved across the Charlotte area on Friday.
The majority of the power outages are across the state line, in York, S.C., and an area north of Lancaster, according to Duke Energy’s outage map.
Trees were reported down across S.C. roads, including U.S. 321 south of York, according to the Herald of Rock Hill.
