Air quality alert for Mecklenburg and Union counties until Friday evening

At 2:51 p.m. on Friday, the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC reported an air quality alert in effect until 8 p.m. for Mecklenburg and Union counties.

"The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone for Mecklenburg and Union counties, until 8 p.m. this evening," describes the NWS.
