Air quality alert issued for North Carolina Thursday

At 10:18 a.m. on Wednesday, the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC reported an air quality alert in effect until Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The alert is for Lincoln, Gaston and Mecklenburg counties.
"The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone for Lincoln, Gaston, and Mecklenburg counties, until 8 p.m.," explains the NWS.
This alert is in effect until Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
