UPDATE: Air quality alert affecting the Piedmont region Friday

At 4:36 p.m. on Thursday, the NWS Raleigh NC reported an updated air quality alert in effect until Friday at 8 p.m. The alert is for Granville, Durham and Wake counties.
"The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, for Wake, Durham, and Granville counties from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday," states the NWS.
This alert is in effect until Friday at 8 p.m.
