The warning was for Beaufort, Carteret, Craven and Pamlico counties.

"The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm," states the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC.

The warning is in effect until 9:15 p.m.
