The Observer’s Editorial Staff
The Charlotte Observer editorial board is comprised of Publisher Rodney Mahone, N.C. Opinion Editor Peter St. Onge and Editorial Cartoonist Kevin Siers. The Observer’s editorial board has joined with the editorial board of the Raleigh News & Observer — Carolinas Regional Publisher Sara Glines, Regional Editor Robyn Tomlin and Associate Editor Ned Barnett — to provide opinion for both newspapers. Forum Editor Nancy Webb produces letters to the editor for the Observer and News & Observer.

Peter St. Onge, N.C. Opinion Editor
Peter St. Onge has been a member of the editorial board since 2011. A New Hampshire native, Peter came to the Observer in 1999. He has been honored with national awards in news writing, investigations, business writing, sports writing and feature writing. He lives in south Charlotte with his wife and two sons. Kevin Siers, Editorial Cartoonist
A native of Minnesota, Kevin Siers has been drawing editorial cartoons for the Observer since 1987. He began his cartooning career by drawing editorial cartoons for his hometown community newspaper between shifts working in the local iron ore mines north of Duluth. Nancy Webb, Forum Editor
Nancy Webb became Forum editor in 2009 after stints in pretty much every other department in the Observer newsroom, except Photo and Sports. She moved to Charlotte 30 years ago – when Belk had a downtown store and Ballantyne wasn’t even a pipe dream. She’s been a cop reporter, courts reporter, and line editor, including in three of the Observer’s regional newsrooms (some twice). Reach her at nwebb@charlotteobserver.com.
