Kevin Siers: A cartoon review of 2022

Let me tell you about an annual tradition I have as North Carolina’s Opinion editor.

Each December, as the new year approaches, I go over the work our team has done in 2022. Each year, as I revisit the breadth and depth of Kevin Siers’ body of cartoons, I think, “Wow, Kevin had a really good year.”

This is not surprising, of course. As readers across our state know, Kevin always has a really good year. His eye is as sharp as ever. His toons are artful and biting. He’s a brilliant journalist, a Pulitzer Prize winner, an exceptionally strong voice who week after week holds people and institutions accountable.

I’m proud, as always, to share some of Kevin’s favorites from 2022 in this gallery slideshow.
