Observer editorial board members analyze Wednesday night’s Charlotte mayoral debate
The six major candidates vying to be Charlotte’s next mayor squared off Wednesday night in a televised, two-part debate hosted by Queens University and sponsored by the Charlotte Observer and WBTV.
Thursday morning, as early voting opened in advance of the Sept. 15 primary, Observer Editorial Page Editor Taylor Batten and Associate Editors Eric Frazier and Peter St. Onge offered insights on how the debate went.
