Sports on TV: What’s on Thursday
Week two of the NCAA tournament gets under way Thursday as the Sweet 16 tips off.
North Carolina faces Wisconsin in Los Angeles at 7:47 p.m. The fourth-seeded Tar Heels, who could potentially be without Charlotte native Kennedy Meeks, and the top-seeded Badgers play contrasting styles. For UNC to have a chance at the upset, Marcus Paige and his teammates will have to speed up the tempo and get Wisconsin out of its rhythm.
The game of the night is West Virginia vs. Kentucky. Bob Huggins is 8-2 all time against John Calipari, but do the Mountaineers have the talent to ruin the Wildcats undefeated season? At least one West Virginia player is confident.
West Virginia’s Daxter Miles Jr. on UK: “I give them them their props. Salute them to getting to 36-0. But tomorrow they’re gonna be 36-1.”
