Major League Soccer’s 2022 schedule is here, which means that Charlotte FC knows where and when it will play during its inaugural season next year.

The regular season begins Feb. 26 with Charlotte FC’s first match against D.C. United in Washington, D.C.

The team will play its first home match at Bank of America Stadium against the LA Galaxy the following weekend on March 5, a matchup in which Charlotte FC is aiming to draw a record-breaking crowd of more than 74,000 fans for an MLS game.

Eight Charlotte FC matches will be broadcast on national television. Those eight games include home matches against the LA Galaxy (FOX), Atlanta (ESPN), Cincinnati (UniMás), Miami (UniMás), New York Red Bulls (ABC) and Nashville (FS1). Away matches against Atlanta (FS1) and Seattle (FS1) will also be nationally televised.

The remaining 26 matches will be broadcast locally in English on WSOC-TV (ABC Charlotte) and WAXN (TV-64) and in Spanish on Telemundo Charlotte.

All teams will play 34 games during the regular season, featuring 17 home matches and 17 away matches. Charlotte FC is competing in the Eastern Conference, with Nashville SC moving to the Western Conference to give both conferences 14 teams.

Charlotte plays its Eastern Conference opponents twice during the regular season and faces eight Western Conference rivals.

The regular season closes on Oct. 9 against the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena.
