Thursday Night Football is here. How to watch the 2022 NFL season opener in Charlotte

The preseason is over, which means the first week of the NFL’s regular season is officially here.

The season kicks off on Thursday when the defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams host the Buffalo Bills at 8:20 p.m. on NBC.

Thursday’s game will be the 14th meeting between the two teams, with Buffalo leading the series 8-5. The Bills won the last meeting 35-32 on September 27, 2020, at Bills Stadium in Buffalo.

Here’s how to watch the game in Charlotte, whether on your TV or through cable, satellite, or a streaming service.

How to watch the NFL season opener in Charlotte

This year’s NFL Kickoff Game will air on NBC. Charlotte’s NBC affiliate is WCNC. That’s channel 6 on Spectrum, channel 1036 on AT&T U-Verse, channel 36 on DISH Network and channel 36 on DIRECTV.

NBC is also available on some streaming TV providers, including YouTubeTV, HuluLive and fuboTV.

How to stream the NFL season opener

The game can be streamed on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, with a Peacock Premium plan. The plan is available for $4.99 per month.

You can also watch the game by logging in with your TV provider on the NBC Sports app, NBC app or NBCSports.com, or on NFL+, with subscriptions available for as low as $4.99 per month.
