The football game between Johnson C. Smith University and Elizabeth City State University has been rescheduled due to the severe weather threat from Hurricane Ian.

The game will now be played on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Johnson C. Smith, school sports information director Oralia Washington told The Charlotte Observer. It was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets purchased prior to the schedule change are still valid and can be used to enter the game, Washington said.

Parking passes and tickets for the game can be purchased online. Fans can also stream the action on the CIAA Sports Network.

Earlier on Tuesday, South Carolina announced that its football game versus South Carolina State in Columbia would also be played on Thursday instead of Saturday.
