ACC Tournament in Charlotte: How to get tickets? Best places to park? All info

College basketball fans are gearing up to swarm Charlotte as the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to the Queen City next week.

The tournament will take place from March 10-14 at the Spectrum Center.

If you’re planning to attend games in uptown, here’s what you need to know.

ACC Tournament tickets

Tickets to the ACC tournament can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets can also be purchased through third-party platforms, such as SeatGeek and StubHub.

What items are not permitted inside the Spectrum Center?

According to the Spectrum Center policy, the following items are not allowed inside the arena:

  • Large banners and flags: Items that are affixed to a pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material and that are more than 18 inches in length
  • Whistles, foghorns, air horns or plastic horns, such as vuvuzelas and didgeridoos
  • Laser pointers or any similar devices
  • Items intended to create optical illusions or interfere with the ability of the eye to perceive depth or distance, such as pinwheels or umbrellas
  • Any weapons or items that can be used with the intent to inflict damage, including guns and knives
  • Cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, vape pens and pipes
  • iPads or tablets
  • Aerosol cans
  • Fireworks
  • Frisbees
  • Mace or pepper spray
  • Poles, selfie-sticks or missile-like objects that can be thrown
  • Strollers
  • Tripods
  • Umbrellas
  • Beach balls
  • Bats and clubs
  • Skateboards or hoverboards
  • Illegal substances

What items are permitted inside the Spectrum Center?

According to arena policy, the following items are permitted as long as they are inspected by security personnel:

  • Service animals
  • Signs that are non-flammable and small enough for one person to hold
  • Strollers
  • Bags smaller than 10 inches by 10 inches by 4 inches

The arena recommends not bringing bags, as they will be required to go through an x-ray machine before entering, which can lead to longer wait times.

Parking options near Spectrum Center

Spectrum Center is located at 333 East Trade Street, directly across Trade Street from the Charlotte Transportation Center.

There are nearly 30,000 off-street parking spaces within 15 minutes of the arena. There are also several lots around the arena where you can reserve a parking spot online.

What about bus, light rail or streetcar to the games?

For those that want to take public transportation to the game, you can use Charlotte Area Transit System, including buses, the LYNX light rail service and the CityLYNX streetcar line. You can check ride schedules and pick-up and drop-off locations online at ridetransit.org.

Tickets can be purchased at each station platform or online through the CATS-Pass mobile app.
