Fever Star Sophie Cunningham Sizzles In Blue Swimsuit

With the WNBA season just a few weeks away, Sophie Cunningham is getting one last getaway in before she's on the hardwood competing every night.

Cunningham, who averaged 8.6 points per game in 2025, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Indiana Fever for the 2026 season. Fans weren't sure if she'd return to the Fever since the front office also had to bring back Lexie Hull and Kelsey Mitchell. However, she wanted to be back in Indiana for another playoff run.

"We had a really special group last year and it was an incredible first season for me in Indy; I loved everything about my teammates and the Fever organization. We fought through a ton of adversity, and it was important to me that we have a chance to see through what we started," Cunningham said in a press release. "I have a feeling this is going to be another special season, so I'm excited to get things started and to, of course, keep playing in front of the best fans in the WNBA. Let's get spicy!"

Speaking of getting spicy, Cunningham posted a swimsuit photo from Maho Bay on her Instagram Story this weekend.

"Tryna bring this sun back to Indy," she wrote for her caption.

Cunningham might not bring a "UV 11" to Indiana, but the weather is certainly heating up just in time for the Fever's season opener.

Sophie Cunningham is officially a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit nearly broke the internet last week when it unveiled Cunningham as one of its rookie models for this year's magazine.

Cunningham, 29, posed for photos in Fort Myers, Florida. She was on the same set as WNBA superstar Napheesa Collier and track star Melissa Jefferson-Wooden.

"This is probably one of the most empowering things that I have ever done," Cunningham said in an interview with SI Swimsuit.

It sure seems like Cunningham is thriving on and off the court this year.
