Steve Kerr's Postgame Message to Steph Curry, Draymond Green Goes Viral
The Golden State Warriors fell to the Phoenix Suns 111-96 on Friday night in the final play-in game, which decided the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.
Golden State will now enter a crucial offseason as they try to not only navigate their future after making the play-in tournament for three consecutive seasons, but at the same time, to try to maximize what they have left in Stephen Curry, who revealed postgame that he sees himself playing for several more seasons.
“Multiple, for sure,” Curry said.
When asked if he wants to sign a contract extension with Golden State, he added, “For sure. But none of those conversations have happened, so, it’ll be a busy summer for the Warriors.”
Outside of Curry’s future, the real question revolves around head coach Steve Kerr, who could have very well coached his final game with the organization, and his moment with Curry and Draymond Green only fueled that speculation as they got checked out with a minute remaining in the game.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen next, but I love you guys to death,” Kerr said as he huddled with Curry and Green.

Kerr also addressed his future with the organization after the loss, saying he plans to take a few weeks to reflect before meeting with team leadership to discuss what comes next. He also made it clear that if he does step away from Golden State, he would not coach elsewhere in the NBA.
"I don't know what's next. I still love coaching, but all of these jobs have an expiration date," Kerr said. "My plan is to take a week or two, sit down with Joe [Lacob] and Mike [Dunleavy Jr.], and we will come to a collaborative decision on what's next.
"I'm definitely not going and coaching somewhere else next year in the NBA. I would never walk away from Steph. But all this stuff has to be aligned and right."
The trio of Kerr, Curry, and Green - along with key figures who came through the organization over the years like Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant - helped form one of the most dominant dynasties of the modern NBA era.
Golden State captured four championships between 2015 and 2022 and reached the NBA Finals in five consecutive seasons.
