Max Homa's Embarrassing PGA Tour Meltdown Caught On Camera Sunday
Max Homa's embarrassing PGA Tour meltdown was caught on camera on Sunday morning, April 19.
One week ago, the veteran PGA Tour star called out Sergio Garcia for his immature behavior at The Masters. Garcia, a major champion, had an epic meltdown on the second hole of Augusta National during the final round on Sunday, April 12. Homa was among those to criticize Garcia for his behavior.
"I don't like when people break clubs. I don't like when people beat up the golf course because we deal with it, and I think the breaking clubs makes us look very, very spoiled," Homa said during a news conference Wednesday at the RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, per ESPN.
"... So I don't know where I'd draw that line exactly, but I definitely think beating up a golf course would be probably tops just because the rest of us have to play it. But yeah, that's a tough thing to handle or to decide upon because it is so subjective. If I do something where no one is watching on TV, that gets graded a lot lower than when it's in front of everybody. So I don't know how you would land that plane."
But on Sunday, it was Homa doing the embarrassing meltdown.
Cameras caught Homa, 35, throwing his club in frustration during the final round of the RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island.
Video immediately went viral.
It's a rough look for Homa
Golf is a frustrating game - especially when you're playing from the sand inside of the woods - but throwing your club is not acceptable at any level.
Homa will surely feel bad for his behavior on Sunday, but he's rightfully getting called out for it.
