Anastasia Potapova's New Tennis Outfit Has Fans In Awe
Women's tennis star Anastasia Potapova is making a statement at the Madrid Open in more ways than one.
Despite falling short in qualifiers, Potapova has gone from lucky loser to a quarterfinalist at the Madrid Open. After taking down Shuai Zhang and Jelena Ostapenko in the main draw, she upset world No. 2 Elena Rybakina in the Round of 16.
Potapova's backhand truly powered her to a 7-6 (8), 6-4 win over Rybakina.
"I feel extremely happy because I got my second chance during this tournament, and that happens not too often," Potapova said, via WTA Tour. "I'm happy that I'm able to use it fully and, what can I say, beating Elena today, she's such a great player. She's one of the best now. For me, it means a lot."
While her performance was truly superb, tennis fans couldn't stop talking about Potapova's outfit from Wilson.
"Please don't change this paint job," one fan commented. "Just put the Wilson logo on it. It's perfect."
"What a match and what a look," a second fan said.
"Love Potapova's skirt," an Instagram user wrote.
What's next for Potapova?
Potapova is currently No. 50 in the live rankings. She can continue her climb up the rankings with another win in Madrid.
Next up for Potapova is a showdown with two-time Grand Slam finalist Karolína Plíšková in the quarterfinals.
With the French Open less than a month away, Potapova is looking to prove she's a true contender on the clay.
