NFL Star Stefon Diggs Officially Found Not Guilty On Tuesday

Stefon Diggs hasn't landed a contract for the 2026 NFL season, but he still has a reason to celebrate this Tuesday.

Diggs' former live-in chef, Jamila Adams, accused him of assaulting her during a December 2025 dispute at his home. She said the former Pro Bowler slapped and choked her just hours after they exchanged aggressive texts. His attorney, however, insisted that he did nothing wrong.

Well, Diggs and his legal team have to be thrilled with how his trial played out in Dedham District Court.

The jury ruled that Diggs was not guilty of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery. He would've faced up to five years in prison if he was found guilty.

"Diggs was emotional as the verdict was being read ... with tears flowing down his eye," TMZ reported. "Adams was questioned about an alleged $5.5 million demand her team made just three weeks before the trial was set to begin, presumably for her cooperation. She ultimately claimed she wasn't aware of the request.

"Jamila, who claimed she first had a sexual relationship with Stefon after meeting on social media more than four years ago, before then being hired in early 2025, was also questioned about why she hadn't documented her injuries in the wake of the alleged violent attack."

Great news for Diggs' career.

Diggs has a bounce-back season with the New England Patriots in 2025, hauling in 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. Although he was reliable in the passing game, he was released before the start of the new league year.

Interestingly enough, Diggs is still a free agent. It's possible general managers were waiting for his assault trail to finish.

Now that Diggs has picked up a win in the courtroom, maybe we'll see another NFL team take a chance on him for the 2026 season.
