Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Brittany Mahomes Announcement on Wednesday

Patrick Mahomes reacted Wednesday after his wife, Brittany Mahomes, received a major honor at United WE's Champions for Change event at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City.

Patrick Mahomes shared Brittany's Instagram Story to his own account and added a message that read, "Congrats babe! You deserve it! Love you!"

Brittany Mahomes had posted about receiving United WE's inaugural Champion for Change award earlier in the day.

"Such an inspiring morning with @unitedwe__ celebrating progress and influencing action!" Brittany wrote. "It was such an honor to receive the inaugural Champion for Change award in the stadium that represents what it looks like when women's needs are prioritized in sports and in the workplace."

The event took place at CPKC Stadium, home of the Kansas City Current, which is the first stadium built specifically for a women's professional sports team.

Brittany Mahomes Recognized by United WE

United WE announced in February that Brittany Mahomes would receive the award during the organization's 35th anniversary Champions for Change event.

The nonprofit said Brittany was selected because of her leadership, entrepreneurship, and investment in women's professional sports. The organization also pointed to her role as a co-owner of the Kansas City Current and her work helping grow women's sports in Kansas City and beyond.

United WE President and CEO Wendy Doyle said Brittany represents the type of leadership the organization wanted to recognize with the new award.

"As an entrepreneur, investor, co-owner of the Kansas City Current, and mother, she expands opportunity across industries," Doyle said in the organization's release.

Brittany was also recognized for her involvement with the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation alongside Patrick Mahomes.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Continue Expanding Their Influence

Patrick Mahomes remains one of the NFL's biggest stars with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Brittany Mahomes has continued building her profile through business ventures and women's sports ownership.

The couple has become heavily involved in Kansas City through sports, philanthropy, and community projects over the past several years.
