Rams Took Care of Business During the NFL Offseason

The Los Angeles Rams had a stellar 2025-26 season with a 12-5 record and just barely missed a trip back to the Super Bowl.

Sean McVay isn’t the kind of coach to be satisfied with almost getting to the Super Bowl, though, so he’s making big moves during the offseason to get the squad ready for the 2026-27 season.

One of his surprise moves during the draft was taking quarterback Ty Simpson, which is being viewed as a move to eventually replace Matthew Stafford, who just won MVP and is nearing the end of his career.

In a feature for Fox Sports, Ben Arthur ranks the strongest offenses in the NFL right now. “There’s still a long way to go before we see real football again,” he notes in the piece. “But with the NFL Draft in the books and the majority of the top-tier free agents signed, teams know what the core of their squads will look like in 2026.”

Arthur puts the Rams’ offense at No. 1. That’s a huge statement for the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the season.

“The NFL’s best offense in 2025 returns all 11 starters,: he states in the piece. “While No. 13 overall pick Ty Simpson is viewed as the Rams' quarterback of the future, tight end Max Klare (second round) and offensive tackle Keagen Trost (third round) provide young depth for a loaded offense in 2026.”

The Los Angeles Rams already had their stuff together last season, which was evident by almost getting to the Super Bowl and in Stafford’s MVP win. But, what McVay has done during the offseason is smart and unexpected, which makes for a great combo. While the Simpson pick is getting all the attention, adding Klare and Trost are moves that are starting to build this offense for the future right now, and that’s why they could very well be the best offense in the NFL for 2026.
