Caitlin Clark Addresses Injury Concerns After Fever's Loss to Wings
The Indiana Fever dropped their season opener on Saturday afternoon, falling 107-104 in a thrilling showdown against the Dallas Wings.
The game marked Caitlin Clark's first regular-season appearance since before last year's All-Star break, when she suffered a season-ending groin injury that limited her to just 13 games.
Clark finished Saturday's contest with 20 points, seven assists, and five rebounds, but she also sparked some concern after making multiple trips to the locker room throughout the game, leading some fans to speculate she could be dealing with another injury.
However, Clark addressed those concerns during her postgame press conference, explaining that she was simply "getting her back adjusted," noting that it can "get out of line pretty quickly," but added that, "other than that, felt great."

Clark reached 1,000 career points during the contest, becoming the fastest point guard in WNBA history to hit the milestone and the sixth-fastest player overall to do so regardless of position. She accomplished the feat in just 54 games during her third season with the Fever.
However, given that it was the first game of the season - especially after a sophomore campaign impacted by injuries - concern was inevitable any time Clark headed back to the locker room, particularly multiple times during the game.
She remains the centerpiece of an Indiana roster with legitimate championship aspirations, making her health one of the team's biggest priorities moving forward.
