Chicago Bulls Should Snag This ‘Physical Guard' in the NBA Draft
The Chicago Bulls are in rebuild mode. Actually, at this point, it’s more than just a rebuild. This team is burning down the house and building it again from scratch.
The NBA draft is on the way, and it’s going to be a crucial time for the Bulls to regroup and draft rookie talent to energize their team.
On Sunday, May 10, the NBA Draft Lottery takes place, announcing which teams get the top picks. In a draft projection out on Saturday, May 9, Gary Parrish of CBS Sports gives his take on what to expect for the Bulls.
“The Wizards, Pacers and Nets have the best chances to secure the first pick — but it could also go to the Jazz, Grizzlies, Hawks, Mavericks, Bulls, Bucks, Warriors, Heat, Hornets or … Thunder,” Parrish states in the article. “Yes, Oklahoma City really could get the No. 1 pick, crazy as that sounds. If it happens, Monday will make for an incredible day of sports talk.”
Parrish has the Chicago Bulls coupling up with star Arizona player Brayden Burries.

“Koa Peat was the talk of Arizona’s freshman class early — especially after he got 30 points in that season-opening win over Florida,” he states. “But it was Burries, also a first-year player, who emerged as the leading scorer for a team that won the Big 12’s regular-season title and advanced to the Final Four. He’s a physical guard who can shoot and rebound. Burries would make sense for a Chicago franchise rebuilding.”

My Take: Why Brayden Burries is a Fit for the Chicago Bulls
Burries is easily one of the best guards available in the draft this summer. During his freshman year, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged team-high 16.1 points in every game and 4.9 rebounds. He also shot 49 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point range.
Burries can also deliver under pressure. Along with teammates Koa Peat and Ivan Kharchenkov, the Wildcats had a season that was simply historic, including a 36-win season and their first showing in the Final Four since 2001. So, Burries is absolutely the kind of player who could tip the scale for the Bulls.
