The defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder remained perfect in these NBA playoffs Monday night as they completed a four-game conference semifinals sweep over the Los Angeles Lakers with a 115-110 victory. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning MVP and a finalist for this year's MVP, finished with 35 points and eight assists.
While the Thunder now await the winner of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves, currently tied at two games apiece with Game 5 tonight (8 p.m. ET, NBC/Peacock). As for the Lakers, their biggest question as they go into the offseason: Will LeBron James be back? The 41-year-old, still playing at a high level, just completed his 23rd NBA season. The NBA's all-time scoring leader addressed his future after the game.
"I don't know what the future holds for me, obviously, as it stands right now tonight," James said. "I'll sit back - like I think I said it last year after we lost to Minnesota there - go back and recalibrate with my family, and talk with them, and spend some time with them, and then when the time comes, obviously, you guys will know what I decided to do."
What do you think will happen?
