The North Face Named Official Apparel Partner of U.S. Ski Team: First Look

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard team's wardrobe is getting an update.

The North Face has partnered with U.S. Ski & Snowboard to become the team's official outerwear sponsor in an 8-year partnership, the organizations announced Tuesday.

National team athletes across U.S. Ski & Snowboard disciplines, coaches, and staff will be sporting competition outerwear provided by The North Face during World Cup events, World Championship events, official training camps, and through both the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the French Alps and the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Salt Lake City.

Athletes will receive performance base layers, mid-layers, training wear, and luggage alongside outerwear. U.S. freeskiing and snowboarding athletes with other outerwear sponsors are allowed to compete in sponsor gear in any non-Olympic events. All other disciplines will compete in TNF-provided gear.

The team kit will feature products using technologies developed by The North Face, such as Futurelight (breathable, waterproof membrane), Cloud Down insulation, FUTUREFLEECE (warmth-to-weight-optimized fleece knit), DotKnit (moisture-wicking double-knit fabric), and DryVent (seam-sealed, semi-permeable waterproof membrane), along with Gore-Tex. Materials used in the team kit have been tested extensively in harsh mountain environments and refined alongside U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes, a release announcing the partnership noted.

"The North Face is synonymous with innovation, performance, and a deep respect for the mountains, which are values that align perfectly with U.S. Ski & Snowboard," said Sophie Goldschmidt, president and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard, in the release.

"This partnership is about more than outerwear; it's about equipping our athletes with world-class gear that supports them from training to competition as we build toward 2030 and 2034," Goldschmidt continued. "We're proud to partner with a brand that shares our commitment to excellence, athlete-driven innovation, and pushing the limits of what's possible."

In addition to team uniforms, The North Face will also release a publicly available collection inspired by U.S. Ski & Snowboard. That collection will be available starting Fall 2026.
