Mike Greenberg's Record Prediction For New York Jets Is Downright Absurd
It doesn't matter how many times the New York Jets have let down ESPN's Mike Greenberg, he continues to have blind faith in them.
The Jets will begin their 2026 regular season on the road against the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Aaron Glenn would love to get his second year started with a win, especially after going 3-14 in 2025.
During this Friday's episode of "Get Up," Greenberg predicted every game on New York's schedule. Although it sounds too ridiculous to be true, he has the Jets going 15-2 in the regular season. Their only projected losses are against the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears.
Greenberg has the Jets sweeping the New England Patriots, upsetting the Denver Broncos, and taking down the Kansas City Chiefs on the road.
"A tradition unlike any other - I pick the Jets record on schedule release day," Greenberg wrote on social media. "What do you think?"
Obviously, NFL fans don't agree with Greenberg's 15-2 prediction for the Jets.
"Lay off the weed, Greeny," one fan replied.
"I mean. I like the confidence. But I think the Jets go 7-10," a second fan said.
"Are we back to delusion? I'll jump on the crazy train with you," a third fan wrote.
"The best part is i can see a 2-15 record where they beat Bears and Bills," another fan commented.
The Jets should be better this year.
While we don't expect the Jets to go 15-2, they should look much better this fall.
For starters, the Jets upgraded at quarterback by acquiring Geno Smith. Don't let the 2025 season cloud your judgement, he's a capable signal-caller when his offensive line is above average. Luckily for the Jets, they got potential-packed offensive tackles in Olu Fashanu and Armand Membou.
The Jets also acquired talented rookies in wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. and tight end Kenyon Sadiq. We can't wait to see how they perform in Frank Reich's offense.
Do you think the Jets will compete in the AFC this season?
