Pairings, Tee Times Announces For PGA Championship Final Round

Alex Smalley may lead the PGA Championship field by two strokes heading into the final round at Aronimink Golf Club but there are more than 20 golfers who are one reasonably rock-solid round away from pulling the trophy out from under him.

Ahead of the final round on Sunday, there are currently five golfers within two strokes of the lead, nine golfers that are within three and a whopping 21 that are within four. And after 11 golfers scored a 66 or better today, it seems likely that someone will have that kind of title-winning round tomorrow.

Here are the final 11 pairings for the PGA Championship with their corresponding tee times and current scores under par (all times ET):

Smalley vs. Schmid

The featured pairing tomorrow will be Smalley and Matti Schmid.

Smalley has ranked among the leaders since the first round and is the only golfer to score 69 or better in all three of his rounds at Aronimink. He was co-leader after round two and is the sole leader now.

Schmid, who is making his debut in the PGA Championship, was in the middle of the pack after the second round but surged to second place after scoring a 65 today.

Neither of the two have even won a PGA Tour event, let alone finished in the top-10 of a major.

In fact, the duo had a combined seven appearances in the majors prior to the PGA Championship and neither have ever been invited to The Masters.

That seems destined to change if they hit the ball right on Sunday.

Of course, there's no shortage of major winners and PGA Tour stars within striking distance of dashing both of their PGA Championship dreams.
